Lindsey O’Rourke from Saturday’s August 2, 2008 New York Times OP-ED Section wrote an intriguing piece describing the growing number of women suicide attack bombers. Martyrdom isn’t exclusive to men, even though it is against some religions, but has become an established surprise tactic. I confess, the posted clever illustration by Ronald Calla drew me into the article, but once reading a few paragraphs, the examples and history are sad and fascinating.
