Japanese illustrator Hiroshi Tanabe is one of the most provocative in fashion. Internationally trained between Japan and Italy, he combines traditional woodcut effects focusing on graphic shapes. This morning, I had a glimpse of several Chinese Designers work during the Olympic coverage. I was blown away by the freedom and grace they portrayed in their clothing designs. Combining great attention to fascinating detail in the flow of the garments as well as their historic balance.Seeing this I wished for the same freedom in our American designers.
