Instead of wearing it right away, I set it aside, possibly due to my nervousness of this dream that was "so close" but not quite believable. I had worked for the past 2 years in the hopes that "this time" America would act in a mature responsible way.So, on election day I put it on,partly due to the fact that, because of my senior status, I voted absentee,and today,I wore my candidate, my choice for President of The United States, my vote, on my chest with great pride to mark "the real" election day.It only took 43 years of civil rights action for me, it was "my moment" also!
