US retailers suffered through the weakest October in at least 39 years, despite frenzied price cutting as they desperately kept trying to lure consumers who are too worried about their finances to shop. Although, on the other side of the globe, H&M debut their Comme des Garçons collection to 2,000 eager shoppers in Japan’s fashionable Ginza district as reported by WWD. To celebrate the new Harajuku store, H&M built upon CdG’s cult status in Japan and created the limited edition collection. With significantly higher price points, Japan’s 20 somethings were eager to own the boiled wool pea coats, harem pants and polka dot cardigans. Global launch kicks off this coming Thursday!
