Sparked Cards: Hot off the Press!

We’re getting ready with the debut of our premiere letterpress art cards featuring the designs of Igor Kopelnitsky. Peter Fraterdeus of Exquisite Letterpress the amazingly talented artisan who has overseen the execution of the project sent me these pics of the almost finished sets. Peter’s studio is located in historic Warehouse District of Dubuque, Iowa. He brings twenty-five years as a typographer, designer, editor, calligrapher and printer to the revival of the letterpress tradition. Peter’s background also incorporates a thorough mastery of digital production techniques which are used to produce the ‘type-high’ photopolymer plates for printing. Printing on Cranes’ Lettra Paper repurposed from cotton fibers from the garment industry captures the individual hand crafted quality. Peter was personally on press balancing the ink levels for perfect saturation producing truly fine art printing. We’ll be officially on sale in the New Year!
