Madame Secretary Clinton makes a sweeping entrance with her belted black coat lined in an Asian inspired floral design beginning her ‘soft’ diplomacy tour arriving in Japan. It seems we’re taking a break from the harder edge ‘military’ fashion seen on former Secretary Rice. Although if North Korea continues to rattle the saber with long range missile tests, we may see Hilary take out her black boots too.

As reported this morning in The New York Times, Mrs. Clinton’s first bit of diplomatic business, the United States and Japan signed an agreement Tuesday to begin shifting thousands of marines from Okinawa to Guam, part of a realignment of troops in the Pacific.
Later on Tuesday she was to meet with families of Japanese citizens abducted by North Korea in the 1970s and 1980s. Mr. Nakasone said her meeting underscored American support for the abductees, an issue that stirs deep animosity toward North Korea in Japan.
