I’m looking forward to this new gender-bender documentary Straightlaced by director Debra Chasonoff of GroundSpark. As America is re-evaluating and affirming their cultural identity, this new film adds to the conversation. Based on surveys from 50 teens about gender assumptions and expectations from their perspective, happily, rigid stereotypes are blurring. Straightlaced will be presented in New York at this year’s NewFest film festival between June 4 – 11th.
