Performing acoustically, ignited the Park Slope crowd with his sincere cynicism and self-deprecating humor. Musically, a mash-up between Belle & Sebastian and The Smiths, Carlberg’s undiluted expression is far less precious. And as a performer, effortlessly gliding throughout his songbook while engaging the audience with his globe trotting diary. Carlberg’s hour set featured songs from his last 3 albums, The Lilac Time, In a Nutshell, and Everything Now!.
