At the 13th Annual Dumbo Art Under The Bridge Festival last night debut Tamlin and The Fall’s minaudiere, objet d’art hand-held cases for carrying small things. The design duo Jassamee Sanders and Elise Ballegeer collaborated to create their capsule collection, The Space Between.
In a crowded artist studio space, their shining minaudieres crafted from sterling silver or vermeil into egg or crystal shapes lined in alligator and rattlesnake captivated the art and fashion enthusiasts. These sculptural clutches may carry a weighty price tag but the palm-sized couture objects fuses sculpture and fashion into an one of a kind statement.
