Last night, The New York Figure Drawing Group hosted a drawing party marathon inspired by the sensual female and heroic male. Separated into two evenings, the marathon was a late night session from 9pm-1am. The event at Chelsea’s Cell Theatre, provided a great open space with perfect lighting. The model’s platform, placed in the center of the venue, allowed for multiple views from the two levels of the theatre. An event not just for artists, but an alternative for a Friday night to be apart of a creative evening, with or without a sketchpad. Posted are a few of my sketches drawn in marker from the Adonis evening. 
Bring back those wonderful life drawing sessions of my youth….it is possible to learn so much more of the human body along with understanding of the human spirit doing these sessions than in many other art classes.Geoff, these drawings are exciting….
