V MAGAZINE’S SIZE / SPRING PREVIEW 2010 ISSUE on sale and exclusively previewed on Models.com reminds me of “what’s old is new again”. The classic female nude has always been generously expressed made famous by 17th century painter Peter Paul Rubens and continued throughout history with beautiful examples by painter Lucien Freud.
The shots for V’s Curves Ahead section posted here, by Sølve Sundsbø, the Norwegian photographer living in London, successfully brings back into vogue the ideal female form!

Wonderful photos of women with curves. It is about time this is coming back.
I think curves are much more beautiful than twigs.
Trying to be healthy is so much on our radar, never mind the fear of being overweight. We are constantly being reminded that having too much body fat is putting us on a path to illnesses.
The fashion media constantly shows the super slim beauties to this day, since the beginning of our image / style pursuit. The stress of trying to match either extremes are dangerous and annoying… How about just being who we are with whatever shape or weight we have? Wouldn’t that be an ultimate ZEN and relief on our minds?
