Announced Friday at the New York Toy Fair, Computer Engineer Barbie is her 126th career. Perhaps she got the memo from President Obama Administration’s new initiative on math and science or it could be after turning 50 Barbie is preparing for the new economy.
Actually, the blond bombshell’s new occupation is a result of a popular vote taken by Mattel between computer engineer, architect, environmentalist, news anchor and surgeon. With the help of the Society of Women Engineers and the National Academy of Engineering, Barbie’s newest accessories of Bluetooth headset and smartphone were chosen. But a little fashion advice wouldn’t have hurt pointing to the neon binary code tee.
