On my way to a favorite Italian restaurant, Mangiami on Stanton St between Bowery & Christie St, I came across this original by painter Paul Richard dripped on the sidewalk. Continuing in the spirit of public art with the recent film Exit Through The Gift Shop I like these artists taking to the streets.
too bad you can’t remove the slab of concrete. one of his drip portraits was sold at auction in december… it was valued at $5500–sold after a bidding war. i bought one years ago when they were cheap.
