Even the sweltering heat last Saturday didn’t keep away fashion drawing enthusiasts from this month’s NY Fashion Model Drawing Meetup.

With a larger studio at The Center, accommodating a growing membership, the monthly meetings continue attracting designers and artists looking to draw the fashion model.

More than just the sketching, the Meetups have evolved to share tips, tricks and possible networking.

The day before hunting for inspirational fashion, I came across this Ted Lapidus printed silk chiffon handkerchief hem dress. Brooklyn supports a large wealth of vintage shoppes and a favorite is Beacon’s Closet in Park Slope. Spotting the Lapidus, I grabbed the floaty frock especially since it was a ‘steal’.
