MoMA may have brought my friend, Stacy, and I to view Matisse: Radical Invention, 1913–1917 but the meditative sculpture garden with the Wishing Tree seemed fitting to commemorate September 11th.
A project by Yoko Ono, the tree inspired international visitors to share a common vision of peace in every language expressed on the paper tags. This event concluded the summer of participatory art from Key to the City, P.S.1 Pole Dance, to I Wish Your Wish engaging the public of making art.
