Greta Gertler & The Universal Thump preparing for their orchestral pop expedition at Park Slope’s The Rock Shop.
If you follow the Brooklyn and Lower East Side music scene, you most likely have encountered Australian singer/songwriter Greta Gertler. Performing in her imitable “down under” fashion, Gertler’s shows range from intimate solo performances to mini-orchestral affairs.
Her newest project, “The Universal Thump” using the crowd-fundraising site Kickstarter.com for support, Gertler has begun to preview songs from the completed album. Earlier this week, performing with the OSSO String Quartet at The Rock Shop in Park Slope, has begun their orchestral pop expedition.
