With all the gentrification that has redefined New York City, East Village’s Avenue C still retains its understated mystery cloaking night-life in original tenements. Nublu Club is one of those venues completely unmarked until the doors open for the first performance.
One of my favorite bands, The Ghost Of A Saber Tooth Tiger, a collaborative project by Sean Lennon and Charlotte Kemp Muhl, celebrated the release of their album Acoustic Sessions with an intimate set at Nublu last Thursday night. In a moody dimly lit room packed with spectators the duo effortlessly performed their whimsical musings.
