Late fashion designer Alexander McQueen remembered by Fashion Institute of Technology AAS Student Exhibition opening this Wednesday, December 1, 2010.This Wednesday, the Fashion Institute of Technology 2 year AAS students are paying homage to the late creative designer Alexander McQueen. Their exhibition will feature dramatic silhouettes and fashion art influenced by McQueen’s sensibility provoking design into unexpected directions.
Working with my colleague Adjunct Professor Sharon Rothman, I helped to create the poster design using the wonderful drawing by FIT student Yiesung.
As you may have noticed in the Sparked blog menu, I’ve launched a new design site Digital Design Therapy. The response to the fashion art has been very popular on Sparked, so together with Parsons The New School of Design colleagues Maura Jurgrau and Christopher Musci we’ve created a blog specializing in digital fashion.
If you’re interested to see the step by step tutorial that created the McQueen poster I just posted it on Digital Design Therapy!
