Last night, my partner Chris and I got some relationship advice from Miss Abigail! The new show, Miss Agibail’s Guide to Dating, Mating & Marriage stars Eve Plumb of Brady Bunch fame as Miss A and Manuel Herrera as her sexy assistant, Paco.
Written by Ken Davenport and Sarah Saltzberg as inspired by the original Miss A book and blog from Abigail Grotke is a hilarious time capsule of etiquette tips and advice from outmoded eras in a texting world. The Off-Broadway production staged at Sofia’s Downstairs Theater has a cabaret feel with Plumb’s and Herrera’s quick witted comedic pace encouraging audience participation.
But watch out for Eve Plumb’s charm! Chris was plucked out from the audience onto Miss A’s casting couch while Paco was tending to business backstage. The situation got heated when Paco returned questioning Chris as he was sitting next to his female boss and unrequited love! We caught up with Herrera after the show and there were no hard feelings!
