Reading Natasha Singer’s article “In a Graying Population, Business Opportunity” published in The New York Times featured this techie jumpsuit that caught my eye. The industrial style just may evolve involve into a new fashion, not for the design but the results to the wearer. That may be contrary to traditional fashion and marketing ideologues where aging is not always factored.
The Age Gain Now Empathy System pictured above designed by M.I.T. is part of their AgeLab research giving designers and brand builders aging experience. Restricting range of movement for common daily tasks, the suit can give intimacy performing them. Considering the 65 and older is expected to double worldwide and will continue to work maintaining sustainable incomes provides a multibillion-dollar market from the gray generation.
