Isa Genzken, Rose II (2007), part of New Museum’s ongoing Façade Sculpture Program will be on display until November 13, 2011.Maybe it was the extra hour this week springing forward our clocks with daylight savings but the twenty-eight feet tall rose affixed to New Museum‘s ledge gleamed in the afternoon sun. Part of the museum’s ongoing Façade Sculpture Program, Rose II (2007) by Isa Genzken is her first public work in the United States.
A resident of Berlin, Gensken loves NYC from her first visit 40 years ago for its direct link with sculpture and Rose II is a beautiful tribute.
