FriendsWithYou, the Miami art collective, brings Rainbow City to NYC’s midtown’s industrial 10th Ave and 30th St block brightening up the usual dower urban landscape. The blow-up towering toys are one of the summer exhibitions and activities planned to celebrate the High Line’s Section 2 and The Lot, a temporary public plaza at 30th St located directly underneath the High Line’s elevated park.
Across Rainbow City is Colicchio & Sons On Tap, that promises to be the ultimate summer outdoor bar under the High Line’s historic steel girders. With On Tap’s special local brews, neighboring food trucks and picnic seating makes the perfect beginning or ending for a High Line stroll.
