365 Days Of Print at the Dumbo Arts Festival 2011.
Brooklyn, home to a myriad of art festivals and open artist studio tours kicked off the fall season with Dumbo Arts Festival 2011. Manhattan still may be a gallery and museum destination, but the city’s outer boroughs have become the working artist’s mecca.
Eye candy for art enthusiasts, the Dumbo waterfront filled the cobblestone streets with pop-up galleries, performance art and the iconic Manhattan Bridge Anchorage became a massive video projection installation. Even fashion retailers jumped on board using the crowds to open temporary spaces for samples sales or promotion.
