“Conditions for creativity are to be puzzled; to concentrate; to accept conflict and tension; to be born everyday; to feel a sense of self.”
Erich Fromm

Geoffry Gertz’s 20 year career has spanned the diverse markets from international design such as Perry Ellis, Issey Miyake and JOOP! to large - scale fast fashion for Limited Brands and most recently the celebrity influence as the Creative Director for Hilary Duff. His work has been featured in Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, Marie Claire, Lucky, New York Times, New York Magazine and Women’s Wear Daily. With each collection, Geoffry brings his verve to all the different approaches throughout the creative process. A new point of view keeps designing fresh and leads to unexpected conclusions.
Education and technology both continue to be important in Geoffry’s career. As Visiting Professor for Kent State University, he introduced and developed a new design curriculum and for the emerging computer technology used in fashion. At Parsons, Geoffry codeveloped the Fashion Mac curriculum and acted as coordinator. Geoffry’s work continues to be influenced by the technological advances in fashion but without sacrificing the classical process of the art.
